A Good News to all Caviteños!
After six years of construction, the Molino-Daang Hari Flyover Project in Cavite is now accessible to automobile traffic. On December 12, Cavite Third District Engineer Donnie Cuna, Director of DPWH Regional Office IV-A, and Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) led the inauguration event.
The newly constructed flyover is predicted to reduce travel times by 15 to 30 minutes between Bacoor City’s Barangays Molino III and IV and other municipalities.
The project was initially allocated P240 million in 2016. The project also received an extra P311 million in funding in 2018 and an additional P150 million in 2022.
With this project, DPWH intends to suggest an extra P765 million. The project is expected to be a four-lane flyover. The additional funding will cover the remaining civil work for additional lanes and the purchase of right-of-way for roads.
Although it is still under construction, Mendoza said, “The Molino-Daang Hari Flyover marks a significant step toward enhancing transportation infrastructure and fostering economic growth in Bacoor and its surrounding areas.”
During the inauguration ceremony, Bacoor City Mayor Strike Revilla addressed the issues faced during construction, including right-of-way and funding releases, emphasizing the multisectoral commitment to overcome barriers for the remaining road works.

In the meantime, Cavite Second District Representative Lani Mercado-Revilla thanked the federal and local administrations and assured Caviteños that funds would be obtained to finish the project.
The 531-meter Molino-Daang Hari Flyover Project in the Province of Cavite is officially open to vehicles, according to a report released on Friday by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
This came after the PHP701 million facility was officially opened by provincial and DPWH officials on December 12, 2023.
Regional Director Jovel Mendoza stated that the flyover had shortened the travel time between Barangay Molino III and Barangay Molino IV in Bacoor City and surrounding villages by 15 to 30 minutes.
He continued by saying that the flyover is a multi-year project, having been granted an initial budget of PHP240 million in 2016, an additional PHP311 million in 2018, and PHP150 million in 2022.
Although it is still under construction, Mendoza stated in a statement that the Molino-Daang Hari Flyover “marks a significant step toward enhancing transportation infrastructure and fostering economic growth in Bacoor and its surrounding areas.”
Mayor Strike Revilla of Bacoor City emphasized the multi-sectoral commitment to overcoming obstacles for the remaining road works, citing the difficulties encountered during construction, including road right-of-way and cash releases.
A further PHP765 million will be proposed by the DPWH for the project, which calls for a 4-lane flyover with a component of road widening. This will take care of the remaining civil work for more lanes as well as the purchase of road right-of-way.
