Previously named South Superhighway, this highway has a total length of 51 kilometers and it starts from Paco District in Quirino Avenue and gives you access to the cities in Manila such as Makati and Pasay. This expressway also goes through certain municipalities in the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, and more. It’s a perfect option for going to and from the south of Luzon and Manila.
Manila Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX)
The Manila-Cavite expressway or CAVITEX is about 14 kilometers long and starts at a traffic light intersection with NAIA Road and Roxas Boulevard. However, this expressway is access-controlled meaning there is a toll. It connects the southern part of Cavite to Muntinlupa which is a city in Metro Manila. Bus
While the aforementioned highways and expressways to get to the south are very acceptable, there are times when we do not have vehicles available for our personal use. That’s when buses come in. You can take the bus to get to Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, or Quezon from Manila and vice versa. It’s a great and affordable way to get to and from different places. The bus usually costs around PHP 92 to PHP 98 although that can change. The night bus typically costs around PHP 70 to PHP 100.
Taxi
Taking a taxi is another great alternative to using a personal car. Although, this does cost far more than taking the bus. The cost for a taxi would typically be around PHP 290 to PHP 360 although different taxi companies charge different rates. There are tons of different ways to get to and from Manila and the south of Luzon. Because the government keeps developing new infrastructure and highways, you have easy access to different areas in Luzon. That is most definitely considered a great benefit.
